March 19, 2013 marked the 10th anniversary of the invasion, a criminal act taken in defiance of mass protests all over the world. Over the past decade, the American government has engaged in one military intervention after the next. Meanwhile, the former leaders of anti-war protests have integrated themselves into the imperialist framework through their support for the Obama administration.
The articles in this pamphlet provide a revolutionary socialist program and perspective for the resurgence of mass opposition to war, and its connection to the growth of working class struggles all over the world.
The pamphlet contains two essays written by North immediately after the US invasion, analyzing its social and political causes and consequences. Also included as an introduction is the WSWS perspective by North and Bill Van Auken, “The Iraq War ten years on: A turning point for US imperialism.”
